Meet Our New Owners!

Jody Tindill took ownership of New Look Interiors in 2022 following the retirement of Gord Skye.

Jody Tindill and Dave Eddy became the new owners and operators of New Look Interiors Inc. in 2022.

Jody Tindill and Dave Eddy are the owners of award winning building and renovation company, Belledune Homes & Construction Ltd.  They have been building and renovating in Prince George under that name since 2010.

Acquiring New look Interiors

In 2021, Jody and Dave dusted off a plan they had formulated a few years earlier for a storefront operation and started searching for opportunities to leverage their existing business, crew, and assets.  They found a space and began plans to launch a kitchen and bath renovation business.

Serendipitously, Gordon Skye, the owner of New Look Interiors at the time, was selling to retire. A few weeks after learning this, a deal was in place to purchase the assets and staff of the kitchen, bath, tile, and renovation side of the business.  Gordon had sold the building the business had been in and was required to relocate New Look Interiors so time was of the essence.

Jody and Dave quickly put together a plan to renovate their newly leased space and moved the business a few months later.

The New, New Look

Jody is the General Manager for New Look Interiors.  She leads the design, estimating, and administrative team.  Jody is an award winning architectural designer with a wide range of knowledge in all areas of design and construction.

Jody started out of high school at what was then a brand new company, AWG Windows & Doors.  That company is now 30 years old.  She ran the sales and administrative functions for that business for 13 years.  It was there that she fell in love with house plans, building materials, and everything houses.  The job was amazing but at one point the learning stopped and it was time to move on.

Jody had started her BComm degree in the evenings and wanted to put it to better use.  She spent a few years at CRA in various positions and hated the slow pace.  She moved on to a Controller position that led to a role as Manager of Finance & Facilities at the public library.  During her time at the library, she enjoyed designing and completing a range of projects that included furniture that she designed and had built, designing and building a number of new spaces, and the capstone project that kept her there longer than she intended, a grand new entrance.  Jody left that role in 2020 to focus on her true passion - all things houses.

Aside from her BComm degree, Jody completed a Masters Certificate Project Management, obtained her PMP designation, held a real estate and broker's licenses for 6 years, and was the first woman president of the Canadian Home Builder's Association of Northern BC.

Dave is the Operations Manager.  He runs the production team, manages subtrades, assists with estimating, and is a technical advisor to the designers.   Dave is a journeyman carpenter and an outstanding project manager.

Dave grew up on a farm in Bethune Saskatchewan.  He took a year of mechanics in college before moving on to carpentry.  Dave is a Red Seal Carpenter with over 35 years of experience.  He has been self employed for most of that time.

Dave continues his education in the housing industry, regularly upgrading his knowledge and skills throughout the year.   He is exceptionally well versed in the building code and all of the technical aspects of construction.  Dave has spend a lot of time over his 35+ years in this industry immersing himself with the other trades and, as a result, can deal with any challenge that comes up on site quickly.

Jody and Dave had met in the early 1990's while working together at AWG Windows and Doors.  They are a counter balance to each other and have almost clearly defined each of their roles.  They do still argue over fireplace designs occasionally but thankfully Pinterest is a useful communication support these days.  The couple has two daughters who are married to wonderful guys and have provided a growing collection of hilarious grand children who fill their house with very regular noisy and fun family events.

The couple has plans to build on the New Look Interiors legacy brand, growing the company into something their family will be proud to be a part of for many years to come.
